Job summary

Bosch in Farmington Hills, MI offers an 8-month Calibration Engineering internship within the Power Solutions calibration group. You will engage in tool and efficiency development, data analysis, ML, and software-in-the-loop testing while gaining exposure to real-world engine calibration workflows.

Successful candidates will join a collaborative, learning-focused culture—working 35–40 hours weekly and contributing to hands-on projects and learning events.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a university and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed.
  • 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
  • Very good Python or C++ skills.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to work 35–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Create and program automated test scripts for Calibration tools and efficiency projects.
  • Perform data exploration, analysis, ML, and predictive modeling on datasets.
  • Conduct data mining and pattern recognition tasks to improve calibration models.
  • Develop Software In-The-Loop simulation and assist testing activities.
  • Support learning events (Hack-a-thon, Coding/AI training) and learn daily calibration workflows.

Your tasks

The internship will be from either January - August 2027, or May - December 2027.

This internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions.

The successful candidate will be given an 8-month project, based on their skills and career focus.

These include supporting:

Calibration Tool/Efficiency Development Projects
  • Creation and programming of automated test scripts
  • Data exploration, analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling
  • Data mining and pattern recognition
  • Software In-the-Loop simulation development and testing
  • Support learning and collaboration events (Hack-a-thon, Coding/AI training, etc.)
  • Support and learning about Calibration Engineer's daily activities (flashing vehicles, analyzing data, validating software and data, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, and/or Computer Science with at least one semester completed

  • Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
