Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a machine operator for the cake production line. The role involves setting up and adjusting machinery to ice and decorate products while following specification sheets and GMP policies.

You will work on a shift from 1:55pm to 10:00pm, maintain clean work areas, monitor performance, and assist with line operations as needed. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Math skills.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun.
• Demonstrates manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a full shift.
• Requires overtime: >40 hours per week.
• Must tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment to proper settings for line speeds and product quality.
• Adjust tools and techniques to finish product with minimal supervision.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and keep areas clean.
• Read production schedule and prep machines for next run.
• Monitor equipment and report faults.
• Assist line operator and icing mixers as needed.
• Support Lead to understand and perform required tasks.
• Report safety hazards and comply with GMP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Keep area clean during downtime and changeovers.
• Ensure products meet SQF Food Safety Code requirements.
