Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Boulder, CO is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts and pastries, including special orders. You’ll apply artistic skills, follow recipes, and ensure quality while delivering excellent service.

You’ll support apprentices and teammates, maintain safety and cleanliness, and work flexible hours including weekends. Experience in bakery or retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills with piping techniques.
• Understanding color theory for buttercream colors and palettes.
• Able to follow recipes and maintain accuracy under time pressure.
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special orders.
• Finish, ice, and decorate items following standard procedures.
• Prioritize production lists and manage display cases.
• Support Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with special orders.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment.
