Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Colorado Springs is seeking a skilled Bakery Decorator to create and finish cakes, tarts, and pastries with artistic detail. You will support store programs and uphold food safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will mentor Apprentices, manage orders, and maintain a clean, efficient work area in a fast-paced bakery, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Complete the Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience within a professional bakery or grocery retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and pastries.
• Build and decorate cakes following standard procedures to meet demand.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display and ensure freshness.
• Provide guidance to Apprentices and Team Members.
• Create special order cake designs per customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and pricing accuracy.
