Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Bakery Decorator responsible for decorating cakes, tarts, pastries, and special orders while upholding quality standards and exceptional customer service.

You will follow established procedures and support store initiatives, with emphasis on food safety and team collaboration. The role requires decorating skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures and maintain production records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Merchandise products in display cases and ensure freshness and proper rotation.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist with phones and inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment; follow safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties including signage and pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
