Lowes Foods is seeking a bakery clerk to provide friendly guest interactions and support bakery operations. You will prepare products for sale, decorate and label items, and maintain quality and sanitation across the bakery area.

You will also handle cake preparation tasks, rotate stock, assist with receiving, and communicate guest needs to management to help achieve sales targets and maintain a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsabilités

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and manage dates.
• Use cake production sheet and read from cake manual as reference.
• Write on cakes and mix colors according to chart.
• Master the airbrush and use it as needed.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery section.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standards are met.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
