Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a bakery team member to greet guests, prepare products for sale, and maintain quality and freshness across the bakery department. This role emphasizes friendly guest interactions and assisting with cake decoration and labeling.

Responsibilities include sanitation, decorating tools usage, stock rotation, communicating guest requests and specials, and helping with product receiving. Front Porch duties and contributing to sales goals are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain the organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product according to variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and read dates on icings.
• Use cake production sheet.
• Write on cakes.
• Mix colors according to color chart.
• Master the airbrush tool.
• Assist in achieving budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs Front Porch duties to ensure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
