Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a friendly bakery clerk to greet guests, assist with cake decoration and labeling, and ensure product quality and freshness. You will perform a range of bakery duties, maintain sanitation, and support management with stock and sales objectives.

Ideal candidates are energetic, able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and possess strong guest service and communication skills. This on-site role requires flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain organization of the freezer and rotate products by variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy.
• Rotate icings and manage dates.
• Use cake production sheet and read cake labels.
• Accurately write on cakes and mix colors per color chart.
• Master airbrush use for decorating.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section.
• Perform Front Porch duties for guest arrival standards.
• Announce specials and sale information on PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
