Job summary

Lowes Foods in Lexington, SC is seeking a friendly bakery clerk to greet guests, prepare products for sale, and maintain quality and freshness in the bakery. You will be involved in decorating, labeling, and rotating stock, while upholding sanitation standards in all bakery areas.

Responsibilities include assisting guests, working with management to meet sales targets, and performing Front Porch duties to ensure a welcoming guest arrival experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain organization of the freezer and rotate products by variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management and temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy; rotate icings and scrap buckets.
• Use cake production sheet and read the cake manual; write on cakes; mix colors as per color chart.
• Master the airbrush; participate in front porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard; announce specials.
