Responsibilities

• Answer questions and suggest bakery items to customers.
• Prepare bakery items including wedding cakes as requested.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and other bakery items.
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality, freshness and dates; use bakery equipment as directed.
• Report ordering/shipping or inventory discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain awareness of store layout and current ads; assist customers accordingly.
• Adhere to health, safety, and store guidelines; ensure safety procedures are followed.
