Job summary

Food City in Jonesborough, TN is seeking a Food Service Associate to support the mission to “Run the Best Store in Town.” You will greet customers, deliver prompt, friendly service, and help maintain bakery displays and cake cases.

This role involves decorating cakes and cupcakes, taking phone orders, and keeping work areas tidy. You may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform routine tasks with daily interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service aligned with the company mission.
• Decorate specialty cakes and cupcakes and maintain cake/display cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes and keep workstation neat.
• Assist with proper rotation and dating of food service products and inventory management.
