Job summary

Paris Baguette Thousand Oaks is seeking a Cake Team Member to decorate and assemble cakes and desserts to recipe and visual brand standards, preparing creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch.

You will use elegant piping and whimsical designs to make every occasion memorable, manage daily production, keep displays appealing, train new teammates, and support special orders, with flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cake decorating or culinary experience.
• Familiarity with piping bags, whipped cream, fruit décor, finishing techniques.
• Food safety, sanitation, and labeling knowledge.
• Food Handler's Certification is required.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Team-first attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Decorate and assemble cakes and desserts to recipe and brand standards.
• Prepare creams, fillings, icings, and toppings from scratch.
• Use piping and designs to make occasions memorable.
• Manage daily production plans and workflows to meet cafe demand.
• Ensure cake displays are organized and visually appealing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe decorating station.
• Monitor product quality and consistency.
• Support special orders and guest customization needs.
• Help train new Cake Team Members in decoration techniques and cafe procedures.
• Complete waste logs, production sheets, or prep reports as required.
• Receive, stock, and organize ingredients and supplies efficiently.
• Adapt to other bakery tasks as needed because we are all one team.
