Position Summary
As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; remain flexible to business needs; maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
- Plan bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, following recipe measurement instructions; work with a variety of products to decorate bags, tips and nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance and inventory management; operate, maintain and sanitize equipment; demonstrate understanding of product layout execution.
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date‑control standards; eliminate waste; prepare for seasonal events that impact bakery volume, such as holidays, graduations and family events; identify member needs and assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve member issues and concerns.
- Act as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience, modeling high‑quality service and products; interact with associates to understand roadblocks; assist in training, developing, influencing and inspiring them to work in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style.
- Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; implement action plans, use the Open Door Policy and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; communicate progress and information; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to change and learn from difficulties and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications
- Six months experience in a fresh production area.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.

Compensation
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed; multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
