Position Summary
As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member – Collaborates with cross-functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service; is flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in-stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
- Be an Expert – Plans bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs; follows recipe measurement instructions; works with a variety of products (decorating bags, tips, nozzles) to create decorative flowers and lettering; ensures adherence to food-safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold-chain compliance and inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
- Be an Owner – Drives performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date-control standards, eliminating waste; prepares for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (holidays, graduations, family events); identifies member needs; assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves member issues and concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in Bakery and models high-quality service and products; interacts with associates to understand roadblocks; assists in training, development, influencing and inspiring for a respectful, supportive, team-oriented style.
- Compliance & Integrity – Complies with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; implements related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; applies best practices in business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months' experience in a Fresh Production Area.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cake Decorating experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage range: $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
