Job description

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What You’ll Do
  1. Be a Team Member – Collaborates with cross‑functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service, being flexible to the needs of the business, maintaining in‑stock levels and controlling shrinkage.
  2. Be an Expert – Plans bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs. Follows recipe measurement instructions, works with a variety of products, decorates bags, tips, nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, ensuring adherence to food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance and inventory management. Operates, maintains and sanitizes equipment and demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.
  3. Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes hand‑held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training and product quality with the member in mind, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  4. Be an Owner – Drives the performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date‑control standards. Eliminates waste, prepares for seasonal events that impact bakery volume, identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions and resolves member issues and concerns.
  5. Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in Bakery and modeling high‑quality service and products. Interacts with associates to understand roadblocks and assists in training, developing, influencing and inspiring them to work in a style that is respectful, supportive and team‑oriented.
  6. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
  7. Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to change and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months’ experience in Fresh Production Area.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Will successfully complete all required job‑training and assessments within the prescribed time period.

Salary

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
