Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Cake Decorator to apply decorating techniques and maintain product quality following VTAs and guidelines. You will prepare, package, and merchandise fresh bakery items daily while upholding food safety standards and sanitation.

Customer service and accurate order-taking are essential parts of the role. You will be responsible for maintaining department standards, reading the production list, and ensuring cakes reach the showcase on time.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in retail bakery or customer service preferred.
• Willingness to comply with safety training and company orientation.

Responsibilities

• Take cake orders by telephone or in person with accuracy.
• Apply decorating techniques per VTAs to produce quality cakes and pastries.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh bakery products daily.
• Maintain sanitation and comply with food safety standards.
• Assist with production planning and ensure products reach the showcase on schedule.
