Job summary

Off The Hook Restaurants is seeking a Prep Cook to set up stations, prepare ingredients, and assist in delivering high-quality Cajun dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work closely with the team to maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency during service.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant experience, is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to work varied shifts. Training programs are provided, and compatibility with a team-focused environment is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Must complete all required Off The Hook company training programs.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow GM's instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
