Job summary

Delaware Park Casino Racing in Wilmington, DE seeks a Cage Supervisor with 2–3 years cashier experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. You will supervise cashiering, safeguard cash and cage inventory, and train staff while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years cashier experience required.

  • Knowledge of Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a fun, entertaining environment with service excellence.
  • Safeguard currency, coins, tickets, tokens, forms and records for VLT Cashiering.
  • Custody of cage inventory including main bank, reserve bank, employee/front windows.
  • Direct supervision, scheduling and training of all cashiering functions.
  • Assist with recruiting, training and coaching/discipline of Cage Operations staff.
  • Assign team members to locations as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and guests to promote relations.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and with good judgment.
  • Maintain professionalism with team members and guests.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations and teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
  • Responsible for safeguarding of currency, coins, tickets, tokens, forms and records relating to VLT Cashiering Operations.
  • Responsible for custody of cage inventory to include main bank, reserve bank, employee window, front window and booth inventories.
  • Responsible for direct supervision, scheduling and training of all cashiering functions.
  • May assist with recruiting, training and recommendations for coaching/discipline of all Cage Operations team members.
  • Assigns team members to appropriate locations, as necessary.
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
  • Listens, evaluates, and responds to all guest complaints and inquiries and exercises good judgment in resolving same.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
  • Promotes outstanding internal and external guest relations and internal teams.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have two (2) to three (3) years cashier experience.
  • Must have one (1) year Supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery.
  • Understand all internal controls for the department; knowing all gaming regulations and steps taken to ensure compliance.
  • Must have knowledge of Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) requirements required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems required.
  • Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and/or execute written, verbal and/or demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
  • Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, customer relations and communications skills.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, or push up to fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
