Job summary

American Place Casino in Chicagoland seeks a Casino Shift Manager to support the Cage/Credit Manager by enforcing policies, monitoring transactions and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will protect cage assets and supervise staff across shifts with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

The role requires experience in cage operations, strong math skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Bilingual candidates are a plus; education begins with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in all facets of cage operations.
• Ability to operate calculators, computers and money counters for cash and coin.
• Knowledge of cage computer system.
• Ability to handle high volume and stress situations.
• Basic math skills with knowledge of currency.
• Bilingual a Plus (Preferred)
• Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent internal and external guest service while maintaining control of all casino cage assets during assigned shifts.
• Supervise, train, evaluate performance, coach team members, and assist with employee scheduling.
• Review and monitor documents and transactions to ensure compliance with gaming regulations, laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate guest credit records, report and research cage variances, and audit/verify transactions with the table games department.
• Approve check cashing and credit issuance in accordance with policies.
• Resolve guest complaints and disputes professionally; perform duties of Casino Cage/Credit Manager in their absence.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned.

Who WE are looking for:

As a Casino Shift Manager, you will assist the Cage/Credit Manager in protecting casino cage assets by implementing accounting and documentation policies and procedures, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with company internal controls policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

What is expected of YOU:

Matches 50% of your contribution, up to 4% of eligible contribution
