Job Description

The Cage Manager is accountable for all revenues held in the casino cage and serves as a key financial steward within the organization. This position is responsible for protecting casino cage assets by implementing comprehensive accounting and documentation policies and procedures, monitoring transactions, and ensuring strict compliance with company internal controls, policies, procedures, and applicable gaming laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the casino cage and credit departments, ensuring adherence to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruit, supervise, train, evaluate performance, provide coaching, and schedule cage department personnel to maintain operational excellence.
  • Establish and communicate clear procedural guidelines to cage personnel, ensuring consistent and accurate performance of all job duties.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental coordination and communication to support seamless cage operations and organizational objectives.
  • Direct and manage credit office activities to secure timely payment on outstanding markers and returned checks through established collection procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, gaming regulations, and applicable laws, ensuring completion of all required documentation.
  • Collaborate with management on departmental budgeting, goal-setting, and strategic planning to support annual organizational initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer credit history records and documentation.
  • Investigate and reconcile cage variances, documenting findings and implementing corrective measures as appropriate.
  • Oversee year-end chip inventory and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage departmental supplies and inventory to support operational needs.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional experience as a cage shift supervisor.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cage room operations, credit and collection practices, company policies and procedures, and applicable gaming and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and various computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform bending and reaching motions regularly.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management capacity within gaming or financial operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Experience with credit management and collection procedures.
