Job summary

Charles River Reno site is seeking a Cage Repair Technician I to support daily cage repair operations, equipment maintenance, and documentation. The role involves basic repairs, coordinating with Cagewash and other teams, and contributing to GLP standards.

Starting wage is $22 per hour; benefits include 401K, paid time off, stock purchase program, and wellness coverage. Training and safety procedures adherence are expected; welding certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: TIG welding experience.
• Other: Computer skills including the ability to learn a validated system.
• Certification/Licensure: Welding certificate or proof of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic equipment repairs, including mobile and fixed caging units (part replacement, wheel maintenance, doors, welding).
• Respond to broken cage calls and determine repair feasibility.
• Assist in EC dismantling and setup: air filters, cage repairs, and related tasks.
• Coordinate with Cagewash, deliveries and teams for cage movement and tags.
