Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Cagewash Technician I to join the Insourcing Solutions team. This role supports the sanitation, maintenance and operation of animal caging systems to ensure clean facilities and compliant workflows.

You will work onsite, follow SOPs and quality standards, and interact with customers to resolve requests while preparing records and inventories. The position offers training aligned with ALAT certification goals and growth within an established

Qualifications

• Experience and/or training working with mechanical equipment preferred.
• Obtain ALAT certification within 1 year of employment with HS Diploma/GED or within 2 years if no HS Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize, maintain, and repair animal caging materials as needed.
• Ensure cagewash and animal holding facilities are kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.
• Prepare and submit required written records, charts, logs, and inventories.
• Actively interact with customers to resolve requests, inquiries, and complaints, and to provide technical assistance.
