Job summary

Peco-Foods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect cages for damage, perform repairs, and ensure safety and compliance with Animal Welfare standards. The role requires welding, cutting torch/plasma cutter use, hand tools, and forklift operation in outdoor settings.

Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of lifting and bending while adhering to PPE and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and work well alone.
• Must be able to weld, use cutting torch/plasma cutter and hand tools.
• Must be able to use a tape measure and square.
• Able to run a fork lift and climb a ladder.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cages for damage, wear or safety hazards.
• Replace/repair any damage found.
• Ensure cages are safe, functional and compliant with Animal Welfare standards.
• Adhere to safety requirements and policies, including proper use of PPE.
