Job summary

Fairmount Park, Inc. is seeking a Director of Cage Operations to provide strategic leadership over the casino and pari-mutuel cages, count room, credit, and collections. The role requires oversight of daily cash handling, security, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in casino cage operations, 3+ years in management, and knowledge of Title 31, AML, and regulatory reporting. A valid Illinois Gaming Board license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive casino cage and count room experience.
• At least 3 years in management or leadership capacity.
• Casino credit and collections experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Illinois Gaming Board license, along with all other required licensing, as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily cage and count room operations, ensuring accurate, secure handling of cash, chips, and instruments.
• Maintain bankroll accuracy with an accurate cash balance.
• Oversee markers, front money, and chip inventory during table games.
• Oversee credit decisions, limits, aging reports, and collections.
• Manage drop and count, equipment repair, and service for reliability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Title 31, AML rules, and gaming regulations; document CTR/SAR reporting.
• Develop and monitor cage policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Hire, train, coach, and manage staff; ensure adequate coverage across shifts.
• Resolve guest concerns and respond to issues while maintaining guest service.
