Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is hiring a Food Services Assistant for the Atterbury Job Corps Center in Edinburgh, Indiana.

You will help prep meals, transfer supplies, keep the kitchen clean, and serve students with pride. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to obtain local Food Handling/Health Certification, and the physical capability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; local Food Handling/Health Certification required.
• Experience in a food services operation preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and perform demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food for meals.
• Transfer food, supplies, and equipment between storage areas, the kitchen, and the cafeteria.
• Wash, peel, and core fruits and vegetables as needed.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs.
• Scrape, wash, and store dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, cafeteria, and food storage areas, including refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and other equipment.
• Sweep, mop, wax, and strip floors as needed.
• Degrease and sanitize vent screens and filters.
• May supervise Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
• Provide superior customer service at all times.
