Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking a part-time Food Service worker to support cafeteria operations. The role includes patient meal tray assembly, delivery, cashier tasks, and general food service duties in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include preparing salads and sandwiches, maintaining stock, and following nutrition service standards. Prior Food Handler/ServSafe certification is required by start date where applicable, with preference for modified diets

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents patient trays using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions per system standards (salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows Nutrition Services practices for dining, meal delivery, and stock levels.
• Performs housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
• Processes cash/credit transactions accurately and resolves basic customer issues.
