Job summary

Intermountain Health in American Fork, Utah, is seeking a Food Service Associate to perform patient meal tray assembly, cashier, food assembly, serving, and cleaning under supervision. This full‑time role offers 40 hours per week with a pay rate based on experience from $17.68 to $22.99 per hour.

You will rotate holiday and weekend coverage to support business needs and have opportunities to cross train across kitchen areas for more varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (statewide requirement).
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g. prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
• Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards.
