Shelby County Schools is seeking a cafeteria worker to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for students and staff in a clean, sanitary environment. Responsibilities include following menus, HACCP procedures, and maintaining equipment and serving areas.

This role may also involve stocking supplies, assisting with inventory, and cashier duties as needed, while adhering to district policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Background check required.
• TB test negative required.
• Degree equivalency formula explains how degrees map to experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and serves meals following menu and recipes, assembling ingredients and utensils.
• Monitors cooking times and temperatures to ensure safety and quality.
• Sets up serving lines and maintains cleanliness of serving area.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas; stores utensils properly.
• Stocks inventory and rotates food products as scheduled.
• May act as cashier and operate a point-of-sale terminal.
