Job summary

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD FOOD SERVICES is seeking a Cafeteria Manager for Elementary and Special Purpose Campuses to supervise campus food service operations, ensure menu items meet Texas Department of Agriculture and health code standards, and oversee production and training of staff.

The position reports to the Director of Child Nutrition, manages kitchen activities, maintains records, and collaborates with campus leadership to deliver nutritious meals in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (English) required; TASN certification preferred.
• Food manager certification Level 1 preferred; Food Handlers Certified recommended.
• Three years’ experience in institutional food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a POS for students and ensure meals are reimbursable.
• Direct daily kitchen and cafeteria activities; supervise staff.
• Maintain production records, schedules, and proper inventories.
• Ensure compliance with health codes, safety standards, and department policies.
• Train cafeteria workers and coordinate with campus administration.
