Job summary

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD FOOD SERVICES in San Juan, Texas seeks a Line Server to prepare and serve food following approved menus and recipes. You will maintain sanitation, handle portions, and operate kitchen equipment safely as part of the Child Nutrition department.

The role requires ability to read basic instructions, work with others, and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Position is full-time with demanding shifts and a focus on student meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (English) preferred/required.
• Ability to follow menus, prepare and portion food according to recipes.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety procedures; operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to planned menu and recipes.
• Serve meals per schedule and policies; maintain cleanliness.
• Follow portion control and use of leftovers.
• Ensure proper storage, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Assist with daily food prep and assist supervisors as needed.
