Job summary

Serrato Corporation in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a dedicated cafeteria assistant to help prepare and serve meals for program participants. You will support daily food service operations, maintain sanitation, and ensure variety and nutritional guidelines are met.

The role requires the ability to follow recipes, work with a team, and contribute to a safe, clean dining environment. Experience in food service and a valid Sanitation certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and proper food handling procedures.
• Knowledge of general kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under direction of senior personnel and follow recipes.
• High level of organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare well-balanced meals according to a 28-day cycle cafeteria menu.
• Assist in providing three meals per day; snacks on weekends/holidays.
• Ensure meals meet dietary needs and policies.
• Maintain sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, and inventorying food.
• Support safety and security of students and staff.
