Job summary

Serrato Corporation in McKinney, TX is seeking a dedicated cafeteria cook to assist in meal preparation and dining area sanitation. You will help provide well-balanced meals for students and staff, following approved menus and dietary guidelines.

Work with the food service team to ensure safe, sanitary food handling, inventory, and timely service, with attention to quality customer service and adherence to center policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and proper food handling procedures.
• Knowledge of general kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under direction and follow recipes.
• High level of organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares well-balanced, nutritious meals in line with program goals.
• In collaboration with the food service manager, prepares three meals per day, except weekends/holidays when two meals are acceptable; weekends may include healthy snacks.
• Plans meals using a 28-day cycle cafeteria menu.
• Ensures meal service for work-based learning and off-center activities.
• Adheres to dietary needs and options per company policy and PRH guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation and safe handling of food and equipment.
