Job summary

Grand Central Bakery is seeking a part-time Cafe Team Member to join our vibrant cafes. You will deliver excellent customer service, prepare and serve delicious products, and support a welcoming, inclusive team environment.

The role requires flexibility, weekend availability, and proficiency with our POS systems and cafe equipment. Pay starts at $22.05 per hour plus tips; weekend shifts and varied hours are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, and speak English required.
Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card and follows health department guidelines.
Regular attendance by coming to work on schedule and being on time.
Ability to add, subtract, and perform basic math with ease.
Basic computer skills and comfort with POS systems.
Food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers outstanding customer service following the 3 Steps to Great Service.
Assists customers, shares knowledge about products, and promotes GCB's mission.
Works at all stations and shifts as trained; supports opening/closing and baking prep tasks.
Proactively helps teammates and maintains cleanliness and organization.
Follows POS and cash handling procedures with high accuracy.
Maintains safety, follows procedures, and reports hazards or injuries promptly.
