Grand Central Bakery is seeking a part-time Café Team Member to join our vibrant cafes in Portland. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, handling cash accurately, and working across multiple stations to maintain a welcoming, efficient environment for our customers.

The Café Team Member will follow the 3 Steps to Great Service, use our POS and kitchen systems, and support training while upholding Grand Central Bakery’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English required.
• Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card at all times and follows health department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service following the 3 Steps to Great Service.
• Works at all stations and shifts trained for, including opening/closing and baking prep.
• Supports training of team members and helps create a welcoming environment for new hires.
• Uses POS, R365, and KDS systems and may place orders when assigned.
• Adheres to cash handling procedures with high accuracy.
• Prepares and serves café products to Grand Central Bakery specifications, even during rushes.
• Maintains cleanliness and collaborative team atmosphere.
• Promotes the company mission, vision, and values in daily interactions.
