Job summary

Grand Central Bakery in Portland, OR is seeking an enthusiastic Café Team Member to join our vibrant cafes. You will prepare and serve delicious food and drinks, deliver outstanding customer service, and help maintain a welcoming environment for a loyal community.

Shifts include opening, closing, and various station duties; part-time role with flexible scheduling and weekend availability. You will use POS and other systems, handle cash accurately, and support training and teamwork while

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, and speak English required.
Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card at all times and follows health department guidelines at all times.
Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time.
Ability to add, subtract, and perform basic math with ease required.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to interact with customers for a full shift, in a busy environment with frequent change, while maintaining outstanding customer service required.
Food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers outstanding customer service following the 3 Steps to Great Service.
Works at all stations and shifts for which trained and assigned.
Supports training of team members and creates a welcoming environment for new hires.
Uses resources like checklists and training documents to complete work accurately.
Adheres to proper POS and cash handling procedures with a high level of accuracy.
Makes and serves all café products to GCB specifications, including during rush periods.
