Barnes & Noble bookstore in Fort Wayne is seeking a Café Team Expert to lead the café team, develop knowledge, and create a welcoming environment for customers. You will work with the Store Manager to implement café action plans to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will master core barista skills, coach others, and ensure smooth operations across shifts, including weekends and holidays. A customer-first mindset and proactive leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Maintain reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Open from early mornings to late evenings including weekends and most holidays.
• Lead by example with purpose and energy while inspiring others.

Responsibilities

• Master the operational competencies of a Barnes & Noble Barista.
• Use expert knowledge to make beverage recommendations and coach others.
• Review café sales, inventory quantities and product waste reports.
• Meet with the Store Manager regularly to review café performance.
• Follow cafe safety, hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with the café and store teams to drive results.
