Job summary

A Barnes & Noble bookstore is seeking a Café Team Expert (CTE) to lead the cafe team, develop their knowledge, and create a welcoming environment for customers. You will work with the Store Manager to implement café action plans and drive profitable results.

• Lead the café team and develop team knowledge to ensure a welcoming customer environment.
• Identify data related to sales, trends, waste, inventory and other components to improve café profitability.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement and adapt café action plans to achieve results.
• Master barista skills, manage food/beverage presentation standards, and coach others on efficiency.
• Assist with inventory management, loss prevention, and safe store operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and support across shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
