Job summary

Barnes & Noble Fort Wayne is seeking a Lead Barista to guide the café team, lift sales through compelling product displays, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will model best practices for drink making, food prep, merchandising, and customer engagement across shifts.

You will lead by example, train teammates, and help with scheduling and FIFO stock while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and high presentation standards across the café and bookfloor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the café team to maintain compelling product presentations and the efficient running of the Café.
• Coach baristas in delivering excellent customer conversations and improve register speed and accuracy.
• Oversee deliveries, FIFO stocking, and daily/weekly cleaning to keep the Café and book floor in top condition.
• Support loss prevention and maintain a safe, welcoming bookstore environment.
