Job summary

Barnes & Noble, Inc. is seeking a Café Team Expert to lead the café team in a busy bookstore setting. You will develop staff knowledge to create a welcoming environment for customers and work with the Store Manager to implement café action plans that deliver results.

You will be responsible for coaching, inventory management, loss prevention and ensuring efficient service across shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong barista skills and customer-centric approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Master operational competencies of Barnes & Noble Café team and apply barista skills
• Develop team knowledge to improve sales, waste, inventory and profitability
• Collaborate with Store Manager to implement café action plans
• Coach team on loss prevention procedures and ensure shop safety
• Manage inventory via food and beverage orders and monthly logs
• Coordinate displays, merchandising and efficient register operation
• Support bookfloor team when available and contribute to overall store success
