Job summary

Urban Air Salem Café Lead is responsible for overseeing shift duties, guiding Team Members, and ensuring high standards in cooking, food prep, and service in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on kitchen and service areas, while maintaining a friendly guest experience and adherence to Urban Air policies.

The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, teamwork, and a proactive approach to training and maintaining cleanliness, safety, and service quality across the cafe and storage spaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior food and beverage experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Current ServSafe or similar food handling certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift responsibilities and guide Team Members to meet Urban Air standards.
• Support proper execution of processes, systems, and standards in the cafe.
• Ensure deliveries are received, logged, and actioned when the manager is not present.
• Manage the Café Team to maintain expected standards and service levels.
• Train team in menu preparation and front-of-house drink and food service to a high standard.
• Maintain organized cafe and storage areas and address guest concerns in the manager's absence.
