Job summary

Urban Air Adventure Parks seeks a Café Lead to oversee the SHIFT responsibilities of the Urban Air Café, working hands-on in kitchen and service areas to cook, prepare, and serve food with urgency and friendliness. This role guides Team Members and upholds standards during busy periods.

The Café Lead trains staff, ensures food safety and quality, manages shifts, and addresses guest concerns in the Café Manager's absence, supporting Urban Air's dynamic entertainment concept.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 6+ months to 1 year of prior food and beverage experience (Quick Service and/or restaurant experience).
• One year of leadership experience preferred.
• Must have ServSafe or similar food handling certification, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the proper execution of all processes, systems, and standards.
• Ensure all deliveries are received correctly and logged when the Café Manager is not present.
• Maintain storage and rotation to minimize wastage.
• Manage the Café Team, ensuring they always work to the expected standards.
• Adhere to scheduled shifts and willingness to stay beyond when necessary.
• Train Café Team in preparing the full menu and front of house staff in preparing drinks and ready-to-eat foods to a high standard.
• Set high standards for punctuality, attendance, and attitude; uphold cleanliness and hygiene with regular deep cleans.
• Maintain organized Café and storage areas.
• Handle guest concerns in the absence of the Café Manager.
• Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
