Job summary

Port City Java, Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Café Manager to drive brand standards, cost controls, and customer service at the assigned cafe. You will oversee operations, sanitation, and financial performance while guiding Baristas to meet goals and maintain Port City Java standards.

You will hire and train staff, schedule weekly rosters, execute local marketing programs, conduct reviews, manage cash handling, and ensure health department compliance across daily activities.

Qualifications

• Provide superior customer service at a daily basis.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation levels in the café.
• Follow and enforce local food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Baristas to meet goals.
• Oversee daily cafe operations and staffing (8–15 people).
• Hire, train, coach, and discipline café staff when needed.
• Create weekly schedules for the Café staff.
• Execute local cafe and system-wide marketing programs.
• Conduct bi-annual reviews with pay increase considerations.
• Manage cash, credit, and gift card transactions and financial statements.
• Take monthly inventories and complete store operations paperwork.
