Port City Java, Inc. is seeking a Cafe Manager to lead daily operations, staff scheduling, and customer service excellence at a Port City location in North Carolina. You will drive brand standards and supervise baristas while coordinating with districts and departments.

The role includes hiring, training, coaching, conducting reviews, and managing cash and POS transactions to support financial performance and health standards in the café.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage cafe staff, including hiring, training, coaching and discipline.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction daily.
• Oversee cash, credit, and gift card transactions and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Interview and hire new baristas and trainees; complete onboarding paperwork.
• Create weekly schedules for the café team.
• Provide leadership and direction to Baristas; enforce brand standards and programs.
• Execute local cafe and system-wide marketing programs and promotions.
• Conduct bi-annual reviews and manage pay increases where appropriate.
• Oversee daily operations of assigned cafes and ensure policy compliance.
• Participate in manager meetings to review procedures and share best practices.
• Take regular inventories and fulfill payroll, ordering, and reporting duties.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained.
