Job summary

Pullman Market seeks a Café Lead to own the Coffee Shop, Ice Cream & Smoothie program and overall café experience. You’ll manage inventory, purchasing, invoices and shrink, while supporting the Retail Manager on daily operations and leading on-the-floor excellence.

You’ll ensure cleanliness and visual appeal of all café seating areas, mentor baristas, and drive guest satisfaction with authentic hospitality across shifts and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of coffee fundamentals, brewing methods, and espresso calibration.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork with accountability.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment; Texas Food Handler and TABC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Own coffee, espresso, ice cream and smoothie programs, including guest experience and inventory.
• Oversee beverage consistency and calibration across all shifts.
• Lead daily huddles and cross-training across Retail, Coffee and Ice Cream/Smoothie teams.
• Ensure sanitation, safety and compliance standards are met.
• Coach staff and promote exceptional hospitality and guest engagement.
• Assist in staffing, scheduling and peak-period coverage.
