Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in Spring, TX is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across the cafe and kitchen. You will assist in dish and utensil sanitation, support the Chef and Supervisor, and help ensure daily operations run smoothly during peak hours.

The position includes an 8-hour shift, weekend availability, and a pathway to learn equipment use and safe handling procedures in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Card may be required by local/state health regulations.
• Must be able to work an 8-hour shift standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a professional restaurant image, appearance and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of correct use of equipment and operate tools safely.
• Ensure ample clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize kitchen area and floors.
• Check washing machines and report issues promptly.
• Notify Chef/Supervisor of shortages in cleaning supplies.
• Observe proper storage procedures per Health Department and company requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of other areas as applicable.
• Keep a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Handle chemicals safely and avoid waste.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
