Job summary

Cavender Toyota, part of Cavender Auto Family, is seeking a Cafe/Service Cashier Associate to join our team in San Antonio. You will greet customers, process payments for service orders, print estimates and invoices, and help keep the customer lounge welcoming.

We offer competitive hourly pay of $17 per hour, a 40-hour workweek, and benefits including insurance, PTO, parental leave, life insurance, and employee discounts. Join a supportive team that values growth and customer care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Valid driver's license; MVR, background check and pre-employment drug test.
• 1 year dealership experience preferred.
• 1 year minimum of customer service and/or clerical experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability Monday–Saturday 7 am–7 pm.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process service payments; print estimates and invoices.
• Restock refreshments and keep the lobby neat and inviting.
• Manage customer keys while vehicles wait for pickup.
• Reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Learn about products and services with the sales team.
• File repair orders throughout the day.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams.
• Answer service calls as needed.
• Address customer questions or refer to service/sales professionals.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing

• Responsible for greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Knows and understands extended service policies, and processes extended warranty payments for repair orders
• Responsible for printing out estimates and invoices and accept payment for completed service work
• Responsible for restocking refreshments, food, and lobby materials in the customer lounge keeping the area neat and inviting during business hours
• Responsible for customer keys while cars are waiting to be picked up by their owners
• Reconciles cash drawer daily
• Works with sales manager to learn about products and services offered, their features and value, and any price changes to services our store offers
• Filing of all repair orders throughout day
• Work cooperatively with the sales and service team
• Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refers them to one of the Service or Sales professional who can
• Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and refers customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution if it is outside the scope of the cashier duties
• Answer incoming service calls as needed

Here Is What You Will Need

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
• 1 year of experience in a dealership position is preferred
• 1 year minimum of customer service and/or clerical experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Candidates will need to be available work during our department hours: Monday - Saturday 7 am - 7 pm
