Job summary

Big Sur Lodge in Big Sur, CA is seeking a friendly Cafe Attendant to support everyday guest service across front-of-house operations. You will take orders, assist in food preparation, handle payments, and help maintain clean, organized service areas.

Qualifications

• Partial high school education required; diploma preferred.
• Ability to read menus/recipes and follow directions.
• Good English communication and basic math or cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from customers and process payments.
• Assist in food preparation and beverage service as needed.
• Restock, set up, and clean food prep and service areas.
• Maintain accurate cash station and reconcile receipts.
• Cross-train for multiple front-of-house roles (cashier/server/host/busser).
