Job summary

Big Sur Lodge is seeking a Retail Clerk to assist guests with purchases, merchandise display, and POS transactions at our Big Sur location. You will greet customers, answer questions about products and promotions, and ensure a high standard of service throughout the shift.

• Partial High School education or higher preferred.
• Strong math basics and ability to handle cash accurately.
• Professional appearance and the ability to communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of items to customers.
• Compute sales prices and process cash or credit payments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or changes accurately and reconcile cash at end of shift.
• Maintain clean and orderly cash register and sales area.
• Assist with special events and promotions.
• Maintain safety awareness and report issues to management.
