Job summary

Slackline Moab, Outset Collection by Hilton is hiring a Café / Beer Garden Attendant to create a welcoming guest experience. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare coffee and beverages, and ensure a clean, inviting space in a fast-paced setting.

The role focuses on friendly service, teamwork, and reliability. Training is provided, with growth opportunities through the Management Development Program and advancement into leadership positions within the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality or food service is ideal, but training is available.
  • Strong English communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and provide prompt service.
  • Take and prepare café, food, and beverage orders accurately.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, beer, and other beverages per standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized café and beer garden environment.
  • Follow health, safety, and cash-control procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service throughout the guest experience
  • Take and prepare café, food, and beverage orders accurately
  • Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, beer, and other beverages according to established standards
  • Verify guests' identification to ensure they meet age requirements for alcohol consumption
  • Maintain knowledge of café, food, and beverage offerings, including daily specials and promotions
  • Answer guest questions and make recommendations based on guest preferences
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other payments
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and follow all established cash-control procedures
  • Keep café, beer garden, service areas, tables, counters, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and inviting
  • Clear tables, remove trash, and reset seating areas as needed
  • Restock food, beverage, condiments, cups, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies
  • Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and beverage service procedures
  • Monitor the beer garden and café areas to ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and securing service areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding guest needs, inventory, and operational concerns
  • Follow all applicable health department rules, regulations, and company service standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and appropriate uniform at all times
  • Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Act with the highest level of integrity in every decision
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Prior café, restaurant, bar, hotel, or food service experience is ideal, but we are willing to train the right person
  • Previous cash-handling or point-of-sale experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certification
  • Knowledge of basic retail math and ability to accurately handle cash transactions
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues
  • Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure while maintaining friendly and efficient service during busy periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to work as part of a TEAM and assist coworkers when needed
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluently
  • Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks associated with café and beer garden operations
