Job summary

Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) seeks a CADD Support Consultant to support the implementation, testing, documentation, and day-to-day user support of CADD software and workspaces in a hybrid Atlanta office environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience with CADD software (Bentley/OpenRoads/OpenBridge/InRoads/MicroStation/CAiCE) and a focus on developing best practices and training materials for engineering staff.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years documenting and revising business processes related to CADD software requirements.
• 2-4 years of experience developing, testing, and implementing CADD software.
• 2-4 years of experience working with CADD software, including Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley OpenBridge Modeler, Bentley InRoads, Bentley MicroStation / MicroStation SS2, CAiCE.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day CADD user support and troubleshoot issues through ServiceNow.
• Install CADD software and assist with external user workspace installation.
• Support and implement CADD software and workspaces across GDOT.
• Assist with development, testing, and implementation of CADD software.
• Maintain GDOT engineering software standards and documentation.
• Develop how-to guides, workflows, and CADD best practices.
• Develop and conduct CADD software/workspace training sessions as needed.
• Research emerging CADD technologies and recommend solutions to GDOT personnel and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Public sector and/or transportation experience strongly preferred.
• Transportation engineering background is a major plus.
• Python experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Visual Basic preferred.
• Experience developing and delivering CADD training is a plus.
